Combat Robotics

Two robots enter an enclosed arena and fight until one can't continue or time runs out. Judges reward control, aggression, and damage, so the machine that hits hardest, takes a hit best, and is driven smartest advances.

  • Armor & structureSurvive repeated high-energy impacts and keep driving.
  • Weapon systemDeliver damage without wrecking your own robot.
  • Driving under pressureRead the opponent and control the arena in real time.

Tactical Capture the Flag

Two robots per side move autonomously and semi-autonomously to capture flags from enemy territory while defending their own. Points reward navigation, coordination, and clean retrieval under contest, so strategy matters as much as speed.

  • Autonomy & perceptionNavigate the field and find flags without a driver's hand.
  • Team coordinationTwo robots working one strategy, attack and defense in sync.
  • Speed vs. defensePush for captures while protecting your own territory.

Advanced Sumo

Two robots face off inside a ring and try to push each other out. It is a precision control-systems duel: the robot that senses its opponent fastest, grips the surface hardest, and reacts in milliseconds wins the shove.

  • Opponent sensingFind and track the other robot before it finds you.
  • Traction & powerGrip the ring and out-push everything you meet.
  • Control loopReact in milliseconds: detect, decide, drive.
